Learning Support Assistant

Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of children with mental health needs.
About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' social, emotional, and academic development. You will work closely with experienced therapists and psychologists to implement tailored interventions and create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students' learning and well-being through targeted interventions
- Assisting the class teacher in managing behaviour and providing a structured environment
- Collaborating with therapists and psychologists to develop and implement therapeutic strategies
- Building strong relationships with students to promote their confidence and self-esteem
- Adapting communication and learning approaches to meet individual needs
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Level 3 qualification or above (Degree-level qualifications are highly desirable)
- Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (personal or professional)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for supporting young people with mental health needs
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £83-95 per day (dependent on experience, qualifications, and training). In addition, you will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
