Job Summary

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Assurance Officer to join its Defence College of Support. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop new skills and experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of training delivered to Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force service personnel. This will involve conducting audits, providing guidance and direction to staff and trainers, and managing the Assurance Visit programme.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits of training management systems, duty of care structures, and procedures across the college.
  • Provide guidance and direction to staff and trainers on the Defence Systems Approach to Training.
  • Manage the Assurance Visit programme, including scheduling and planning audit visits.
  • Produce audit reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Record and distribute 'good practice' throughout the college.
  • Manage the headquarters local instructions, ensuring they are kept up to date.

The successful candidate will be required to work proactively to achieve outcomes and provide independent quality assurance and continuous improvement direction and guidance.
