Job Summary

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Assurance Officer to join its team at the Defence College of Support. As an Assurance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of training delivered to Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force service personnel.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop new skills and experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with military and civil service colleagues to deliver and support training, and contribute to the development of the College's Assurance Team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the provision of Duty of Care and Continuous Improvement throughout the College, including on-site visits, remote audits, and training compliance.
  • Manage the Assurance Visit programme, including completing audit reports and scheduling visits.
  • Produce high-quality audit reports and provide direction and guidance to staff and trainers on the Defence Systems Approach to Training.
  • Provide direction and guidance on the application of Duty of Care policies and internal processes for Assurance, Continuous Improvement, and Self-Assessments.
  • Record and distribute 'Good Practice' throughout the College and manage the headquarters local instructions.
Person Specification

We are seeking applicants who are forward-thinking, motivated, and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will have the ability to travel to other Military establishments across the UK.
