Inclusive Academic Assistant

As an Inclusive Academic Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring every student receives the support they require to thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with SEMH needs.
- Provide direct support to students during lessons, promoting engagement, motivation, and academic success.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and contribute to shared goal-setting for students' academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with external agencies to access additional resources and expertise, enhancing our provision for students with complex needs.
Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs, including those with EAL, SEN, speech and language difficulties, or other complex needs.
- A deep understanding of the importance of inclusive practices and adaptable teaching methods.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with students, families, and colleagues.
- A passion for ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in special educational needs.
Salary and Benefits: This role comes with a competitive salary (£25,000 - £29,000 per annum), plus benefits, including opportunities for career advancement and the fulfillment of contributing to a supportive community that makes a real difference in students' lives.
