Aircraft Mechanical Fitter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanical Fitter to join our team at 1-Tom-Plumber Tulsa. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering operational support to Flight Operations and ensuring the continued safe operation of the aircraft.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
  • Accomplish maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
  • Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Complete maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
  • Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.
  • Assist in day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
  • Knowledge of specialized test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Flight/Airport Operations.
  • Aircraft Line Maintenance.
  • Aircraft Base Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS.
  • Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
Education, Qualifications, or Special Training:
  • Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
Experience:
  • Experience of Base Maintenance.
  • Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.
