Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering operational support to Flight Operations, ensuring the continued safe operation of the aircraft. This will involve accomplishment of maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.

Key Tasks
  • Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
  • Accomplish maintenance inspections and repairs as directed.
  • Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
  • Complete maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions.
  • Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.
  • Assist in day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Essential Knowledge and Skills

The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems, as well as knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

The following knowledge and skills are desirable:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of Flight/Airport Operations.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Line Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Base Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS.
  • Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
Education, Qualifications or Special Training

The successful candidate will have an Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience of Base Maintenance, Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.

  • Experience of Base Maintenance.
