About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at a well-maintained retirement home in Burton. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Provide personal care and support, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, while maintaining the highest standards of dignity and respect.
  • Conduct regular observations and checks to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, including monitoring their health and hygiene.
  • Participate in activities and programs designed to engage and entertain residents, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
  • Operate moving and handling equipment, such as hoists and slide sheets, to assist residents with mobility and transfers.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient use of equipment and resources, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Contribute to a clean and safe environment by performing basic cleaning duties, following established rotas and procedures.
Working Hours
  • Flexible hours available, including early shifts, late shifts, and night shifts.
Pay and Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate of £11.50 for day shifts and £12.00 for night shifts.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 months of paid work experience in a care home or nursing home setting.
  • Referenceable work history, with the ability to provide 2 professional reference contacts.
  • In-date mandatory training certificates.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
