Job Title: Pre-Hospital Nurse Practitioner

 

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pre-Hospital Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Luton. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-intensity setting, providing clinical leadership and development to operational personnel.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Accountable for the assessment, treatment, diagnosis, and management of patients in a range of urgent, emergency, critical, or out-of-hospital settings, including ambulance operations, emergency departments, and critical care units.

Provide effective clinical leadership, mentorship, and development to operational personnel, including newly qualified paramedics and students, to support the delivery of a high-quality patient-centered service.

Contribute to the development of an integrated approach to the delivery of unscheduled/out-of-hours care involving all relevant stakeholders, including health and social care organizations.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

Hold a Full UK manual driving licence for 12 months, with a maximum of 3 penalty points

Obtain a C1 category license within 6 months of joining East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST)

Mentorship qualification or willingness to obtain within the first 12 months

 

Key Skills and Experience:

IT Literacy Skills

Ability to complete clinical and other records to a high standard

Leadership and management skills, with experience of working in high-pressure environments

Experience in dealing with a diverse range of people in a customer/patient environment

Substantial post-registration experience in acute settings, emergency departments, acute medical units, critical care, or equivalent environments
