About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Residential Youth Worker team in the Hereford and Worcester region.

As a Deputy Manager, you will assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose, deputise in their absence, and support and manage staff to meet the needs of children and young people.

You will work closely with our clinical and educational colleagues to improve outcomes for our children, and work directly with children who have experienced exploitation, neglect, and complex care needs.

Our team provides residential care for children and young people who have experienced challenging circumstances, and we are committed to rebuilding resilience, managing risks, and creating a safe and bright future for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose
  • Deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Support and manage staff to enable them to meet the needs of children and young people
  • Undertake direct work with children and young people as appropriate
  • Manage child protection concerns and complaints
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people
Requirements
  • Diploma 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Working towards or holds a level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
  • Current full driving license
  • At least 3 years' experience in Residential children's Care, including supervisory experience
