Senior Support Worker
Location: Birkenhead, CH42
Salary: £27,993.26 per annum (DOE)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to support young people with complex needs and lead a team of committed professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Manager and Deputy Manager in the operational management of the staff team, ensuring efficient deployment of resources.
- Respond to the individual needs of young people as outlined in their care plans, working in collaboration with families, social workers, and other agencies.
- Ensure all work aligns with relevant legislation, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on safeguarding young people.
- Monitor and review care plans to ensure they are being effectively implemented.
- Manage administrative tasks to maintain efficient operations and support management systems.
- Strong understanding of the developmental needs (physical, emotional, intellectual, and social) of young people.
- Knowledge of Child Protection procedures and experience with Social Care Services.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support team members.
- Interpersonal skills to relate well to young people, families, and staff at all levels.
- Ability to handle emotional stress and remain flexible in challenging situations.
