Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Practitioner to join our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team at Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term post for 2 years, working as a senior member of the Breathe Team delivering Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking respiratory assessments, planning and delivering evidence-based pulmonary rehabilitation programs for patients with chronic lung disease.
Main Responsibilities- Undertake respiratory assessments and treatment delivery as a senior member of the Breathe Team.
- Support the team leader and deputise in their absence as required.
- Deliver specialist clinical care in a safe and effective way.
- Ensure appropriate pathways of communication and care via liaison and referral to other agencies as required.
- Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
- Assess patients with diverse or complex physical and/or psychological conditions.
- Supervise students and junior staff in their treatments.
- Ensure that treatments are evidence-based and in line with current practice.
- Use your own car, have business insurance and must drive to community venues and patient homes.
- Optional participation in the on-call and weekend rota within the hospital (Respiratory Physiotherapists only).
- Clinical Exercise Physiologist or Registered AHP/Nurse.
- Relevant first-level degree (or working towards/willing to undertake qualification).
- Experience in respiratory speciality.
- Broad range of clinical experience and respiratory knowledge.
- Community experience.
- Experience within Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Experience of working in the NHS/Community.
