Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Breathe Team, you will play a vital role in delivering evidence-based pulmonary rehabilitation programs for patients with chronic lung disease.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake respiratory assessments and treatment delivery as a senior member of the Breathe Team, working in hospital, community, and patient home settings.
- Manage clinical duties autonomously, including professional and legal accountability, and clinical risk management.
- Assess patients with diverse or complex physical and/or psychological conditions to deliver appropriate rehabilitation.
- Supervise students and junior staff in their treatments and ensure ongoing education in treatment and care.
- Use your own vehicle for business purposes, with business insurance, to drive to community venues and patient homes.

Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications and Experience
- Clinical Exercise Physiologist or Registered AHP/Nurse
- Relevant first-level degree (or working towards/willing to undertake qualification)
- Relevant course or qualification
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in respiratory speciality
- Broad range of clinical experience and respiratory knowledge
- Community experience
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to organise and manage own caseload
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to support and supervise the work of others
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Computer literate
- Willing and able to use own vehicle for business purposes
