We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our Critical Care team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the assessment and delivery of planned care under the direction of our registered nurses and Nurse Associates.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the assessment of care needs and delivery of planned care under delegation and direction of registered nurses and Nurse Associates.
- Record and document physiological observations and changes to patients' clinical conditions, including ECGs and supporting therapy and rehabilitation practices.
- Undertake venipuncture and other procedures as required.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working in an acute setting, preferably in critical care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassion, emotional intelligence, and maturity to work in a stressful and emotive environment.
