Senior Data Technician

LDNY People is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Technician to join our team. As a Senior Data Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our clients in the field of data systems administration.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical guidance and support to clients on data systems administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure the day-to-day system administration of hardware and software, including configuration control and reporting.
- Provide technical advice and assistance to other staff members on data systems supported by the cell.
- Perform beta testing of new versions of supported systems software and provide feedback to the assigned System Manager.
- Assist in shore-based system administration services for command and control information systems in support of Maritime Command HQ.
- Recent experience with functional applications within Windows and UNIX in a large-scale service-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of database principles and experience in database administration and SQL.
- Experience of working within a customer support environment.
- Maritime C2 Systems training courses or experience in working with Maritime C2 Systems.
- Good general working knowledge of IT hardware and auxiliary computer equipment.
- Experience of Configuration Management and Service Asset Management.
- Knowledge of current Windows and UNIX/LINUX operating systems and common Windows desktop applications.
- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with proven post-related experience.
