Job Title: Senior Data Technician

LDNY People is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Technician to join our team. As a Senior Data Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our clients in the field of data management and system administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients on data management and system administration.
  • Install, configure, and set up servers on board NATO flagships.
  • Perform day-to-day system administration of hardware and software.
  • Ensure configuration control data is reported properly and in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical guidance to other technicians on assigned hardware and software.
  • Assist with system fault resolution and provide technical advice to other staff.
  • Perform beta testing of new system software and provide feedback to the assigned System Manager.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in administering, testing, and deploying applications at both the server and user level.
  • Recent experience with functional applications within Windows and UNIX in a large-scale service-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of database principles and experience in database administration and SQL.
  • Experience of working within a customer support environment.
  • Maritime C2 Systems training courses or experience in working with Maritime C2 Systems.
  • Good general working knowledge of IT hardware and auxiliary computer equipment.
  • Experience of Configuration Management and Service Asset Management.
  • Knowledge of current Windows and UNIX/LINUX operating systems and common Windows desktop applications.
  • ITIL Foundation knowledge/ITIL certificate.
  • Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with PROVEN post-related experience.
