About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Network Rail as a Workforce Health, Safety Specialist, where you will play a key role in providing health, safety, and environmental advice to the Head of Maintenance Delivery and Head of Operations Delivery and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with legislative and corporate requirements, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Promote a positive cultural and behavioural change in all aspects of welfare, health, safety, and environment management.
- Support the wider team in key safety assurance, analyzing trends and implementing campaigns to improve safety performance.
- Collaborate with management teams and the safety team to support, advise, and check management systems, ensuring they are effective and compliant.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Network Rail's Health and Safety Management System and Environment Management System.
- Knowledge of maintenance processes and techniques, as well as investigations processes and techniques.
- Hold a NEBOSH Diploma or recognised equivalent qualification.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication, and organisation skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of the operational railway environment.
- Institute of Environmental Management Award (IEMA).
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
