Taylor Root is pleased to be working with a globally renowned technology company to recruit a Senior Privacy Counsel who will play a key role in shaping the organization's privacy compliance framework.


The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of lawyers to develop and implement effective privacy policies and procedures, ensuring the organization's compliance with global data protection regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on complex privacy issues, including GDPR and data protection law
  • Develop and implement privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global regulations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure a culture of privacy by design and default
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Qualified solicitor (minimum 5 years PQE) with a strong track record in GDPR privacy law
  • Experience working in a large global organization, preferably in the technology sector
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Experience in policy, standards, and controls writing, with a focus on data protection and privacy
