About the Role

Flo is a leading company in the health tech industry, and we're looking for a highly skilled Senior Privacy Counsel to join our team. As a Senior Privacy Counsel, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company's data protection practices are aligned with the latest regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain global privacy policies and procedures, ensuring that they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on data protection and privacy matters to the business, including guidance on data protection by design and default.
  • Conduct data protection impact assessments and provide practical solutions to mitigate privacy risks.
  • Support the VP of Privacy in carrying out data protection audits and reviews, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver staff training and guidance on privacy best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging privacy and data protection laws and regulations, and provide guidance on how they impact Flo's practices.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor in the UK with +5 years' PQE.
  • Proven track record of work in a tech company or in-house with a software product-focused organization.
  • Knowledge of data protection laws globally, including the US.
  • Practical experience in privacy by design.
  • Knowledge of risk management and OneTrust, JIRA, Confluence.
