Global Trade Development Manager

We are seeking a skilled Global Trade Development Manager to join our team in Cambridge, UK.
About the RoleIn this exciting position, you will be responsible for developing and promoting the growth of our sea logistics business. Your focus will be on new business opportunities in the Small & Medium Enterprise segment. You will have a thorough understanding of trade-lanes, including geography and service offerings.
You will spend most of your time engaging with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and working closely with our Customer Care team.
Responsibilities- To generate new business opportunities with a clear focus on SME
- To inform pricing decisions in alignment with relevant stakeholders
- To assist in preparing and submitting quotations to customers
- To demonstrate Sea Logistics products and trade knowledge
- To deliver presentations about our main Sea Logistics products
- To monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing & products
- To report customer complaints to the Customer Care team
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A successful track record as a sales representative in the freight forwarding industry
- Strong communication skills and ability to build customer 'value propositions'
- Dynamism, proactivity, and willingness to go out and engage with customers
- Experience in working within a targeted new business environment and developing sales leads
- Ability to manage and work with existing customer portfolios/pipelines
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
