We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Sutton site team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the completion of repairs and overhauls on time, to standard, and within agreed budgets.

What You'll Do:
- Ensure the completion of repairs and overhauls on time, to standard, and within agreed budgets.
- Adhere to safety practices and quality standards.
- Carry out the total maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain stock levels of materials required and ensure the appropriate tools are in place.
- Report and document component failures.
- Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality workmanship.
- Assist, support, and train service crew.
- Test and evaluate refurbished and repaired generators, preparing test reports as per ISO standards.
The duties described above cover the focus of the role, but you may be required to carry out other duties that are reasonable and within your abilities to support other areas of the business.
You'll Have:
- Educated to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject (including apprenticeship).
- Experience servicing, repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery).
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Good level of PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications.
- Well-organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards.
