We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Emergency Department Staff Nurse to join our dynamic team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Responsible for assessing the care needs of children and young people, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Nursing Procedures and Techniques: Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with established policies and standards, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
- Communication and Reporting: Report to medical and senior nursing staff on the condition and progress of children and young people, maintaining open and effective communication.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with developments in the care and treatment of children and young people, ensuring competence and efficiency in nursing practice.

Requirements- Qualifications: Registered nurse child branch - Diploma or Degree in paediatric nursing.
- Experience: Supervision of non-registered staff and students, previous experience in emergency care, and involvement in link nurse or project work.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to assess, plan, deliver, prioritize, and evaluate patient care, and proficiency in using medical equipment.
This role requires flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and bank holidays. The successful candidate will be physically able to perform the full range of nursing duties.
