Job Summary:

Edwards & Pearce is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of goods and materials to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Transport Planning: Develop and implement efficient transportation plans to meet customer requirements, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal margin potential.
  2. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best and most cost-effective haulage resources are utilized for service delivery.
  3. Communication: Liaise closely with internal stakeholders, including the Procurement team, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of logistics operations.
  4. Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve logistical issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of two years' experience in road haulage planning (bulk) is essential.
  2. Ability to work well under pressure and react quickly to changing customer requirements.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with drivers and colleagues.
  4. Ability to problem-solve and think creatively to find solutions.
