We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our team at Siltbuster Head Office in Monmouth. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of our procurement processes, developing and implementing strategies to meet the needs of our business.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in strategic procurement, with a proven track record of achieving optimal value on total costs. They will be responsible for sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and performance monitoring, ensuring that our supply chain is efficient and effective.

A competitive salary of £55,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role in driving business growth and success.

About the Job

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve quality and commercial issues, ensuring that our suppliers meet our high standards. You will also be responsible for reviewing our existing processes and procedures, using your previous knowledge and expertise to develop and improve them in collaboration with the purchasing department.

Your Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrable expertise in strategic procurement within a manufacturing or distribution environment
• CIPS Level 4 or equivalent Supply Chain qualification, or qualified by experience
• An ability to negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimum contract terms, value for money, and quality
