Facility Operations Executive

We are seeking a skilled Facility Operations Executive to join our team at Steris Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will lead the manufacturing and plant operations at our Leicester facility.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of facility management, ensuring high-quality product delivery to customers worldwide. This includes implementing strategies, managing teams, and driving business objectives. The role requires strong leadership skills, with a focus on continuous improvement in operating performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Management: Manage and coordinate overall plant operations, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks.
- Maintenance Department: Oversee maintenance scheduling, installation, repair, and upkeep of company property, including machines, mechanical systems, facilities, and building structure.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive lean initiatives, working closely with the Corporate Lean Enterprise team to achieve year-over-year improvements in KPIs.
- Process Optimization: Monitor existing and new manufacturing processes for opportunities to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost, using lean problem-solving methodologies.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and guidelines, taking prime site responsibility for all policy-related issues.
- Audit Support: Collaborate with regulatory teams during audits, determining plant policies aligned with company, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
- Capital Expenditure: Develop proposals for capital expenditures and make budget recommendations for the manufacturing operation.
- Talent Management: Ensure the operations have the necessary organizational structure and talent to support company strategic and tactical goals, providing coaching, mentoring, and feedback to develop staff members' managerial and technical skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.
- Proven Experience: Proven extensive experience in manufacturing operations and procedures (5 years).
- Lean and Six Sigma: Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste (3 years).
- ERP System: Experience of using an ERP system e.g. Oracle.
Estimated Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
