About the Role

We are seeking a newly qualified patent attorney to join our Bath office at EIP Dynamics. The practice is continuing to develop rapidly, and we need a talented professional to help with increased work demands from existing clients and new client acquisitions.

The subject-matter of the technical work will include manufacturing, transport, packaging, and consumer product technologies. This is direct client work on behalf of UK-based and multinational companies across various sectors.

A large portion of the work will be drafting patent applications, with prosecution and advice work making up much of the remainder. There is also scope to handle registered designs work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting patent applications and handling prosecution and advice work
  • Working with clients from the UK and multinational companies across various sectors
  • Handling registered designs work and contributing to the growth of the practice
Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for a newly qualified patent attorney who is comfortable working in a modern, fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will be both UK and European qualified, but applicants with just UK or European qualification will be considered.

  • An appropriate professional attitude, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to express complex ideas clearly and concisely, with a balance of knowledge of intellectual property law and commercial requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure, with excellent research and presentation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail, initiative, accountability, and the ability to act independently and manage your own workload
