We are partnering with a leading international defence business to recruit an experienced Mechanical Apprenticeship Trainer for a 12-month contract in East Anglia. This is a remote working position with occasional site visits.

The successful candidate must obtain and maintain Standard BPSS security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver training on underpinning knowledge to support learners' successful completion of apprenticeship units.
  • Assess learner work and progress towards completion of apprenticeship paperwork, ensuring details are passed to administration and relevant company offices as learners are posted.
  • Conduct training and coaching reviews with learners at regular intervals according to ESFA and company guidelines.

Estimated Salary: £36,400 per annum

This role requires considerable experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronic fields, as well as a good understanding of equality and diversity.

A Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering and minimum GCSE Maths and English grade C, or equivalent, are also required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in supporting and delivering apprenticeship programmes, including assessment, lesson planning, delivery, and identifying training solutions.
  • Excellent administrative and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • An assessor qualification is desirable, but not required if you have the necessary experience and willingness to learn.
