Aircraft Mechanical Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical team in the execution of preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic inspections on all machines and equipment. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out in line with contract requirements and guidelines, including compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical team in the execution of preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and periodic inspections on all machines and equipment.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in line with contract requirements and guidelines, including compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
• Monitor the team's performance and identify any issues or areas for improvement.
• Develop a positive relationship with the production team and staff in production.
• Attend weekly site progress meetings and establish and maintain effective communication with client site representatives.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the paper industry or similar process industry.
• Minimum academic qualification: HNC or HND in engineering.
• Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of mechanical and components and maintenance/repair/troubleshooting experience relative to position.
• Capable leader with the ability to motivate teams with a view to providing successful, on-time delivery and excellent service with a focus on safety and quality.
• Excellent communication and IT skills to enable effective liaison with clients, vendors, and other staff members.
