Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our team at Progress Rail. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in providing support to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounts Payable functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices using 3-way match as well as signature approval where necessary.
- Monthly accounts payable statement reconciliations for a small number of suppliers.
- To deliver against the month end schedule by ensuring that all deadlines are met. This includes monthly accruals, prepayments, miscoding journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- To co-ordinate the stock reporting, write offs and month end journals.
- Responsible for running month end reports and distributing to the business.
- Support in budgeting and forecasting at cost centre level.
- Liaising with the business to provide feedback and variance analysis on cost centre spend
- To support company audit activities.
- To lead by example in upholding the organization's culture and values and leading by example in the delivery of these.
- To take a proactive approach to health and safety, working with others to minimise and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
Requirements:
- CIMA part qualified
- Experience of accounting software
- IT literate, especially Excel including "vlookups", "sumifs" and pivot tables
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Strong organisation and planning ability
- Flexible & adaptable to change
- High level of integrity and a professional approach
- Ability to work under pressure and to set deadlines
