Job Title: Senior Bid Writer


 


About the Role:


Maximus UK is seeking a Senior Bid Writer to play a key role in supporting our growth strategy within Business Development. As a Bid Writing Specialist, you will provide high-quality writing expertise and support for Maximus bid and proposal opportunities, enabling us to win work and grow our business.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  2. Technical Writing and Content Creation:

As a Senior Bid Writer, you will be responsible for working closely with the Head of Bid Writing to create detailed response plans and trackers following ITT release. You will work together to agree response allocations and review deadlines in line with the bidding timetable.


Line Management and Coaching:

You will provide effective line management, personal development planning, and coaching within the Bid Writing Team. With responsibility for other Bid Writers, you will supervise and support your direct line reports, allocate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.


Storyboarding and Win Strategy Development:

You will lead storyboarding sessions from the writing side, deputising for the Head of Bid Writing, and ensure that the team obtains the relevant information to complete the full set of responses.


Quality Assurance and Peer Reviewing:

You will conduct detailed reviews of responses for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to tender guidelines. Reviews will be conducted in accordance with the question, specification, and scoring criteria, with clear and specific feedback provided to other Bid Writers to make amendments.


Content Management:

You will support the Head of Bid Writing with the ongoing development and maintenance of Maximus' Content Library. This will include ensuring contract summaries, case studies, and references remain up to date.



 


Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will have a strong track record of writing content for winning bids, experience of conducting peer reviews, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder needs and demands.
