Job Summary

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager at ENGINEERINGUK, you will be responsible for ensuring the technical availability of our equipment and facilities. This involves implementing EU network standards, planning preventative maintenance, and collaborating with colleagues to collect and analyze data to improve processes.

A Day in the Life
You will be based at one of our operational sites, where you will give practical guidance to your team and get a clear vision of what's happening at your site. This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fast-paced environment. You will set up new projects that improve everything from operational processes to equipment maintenance. After safety, the most important part of the role is leading your team and managing their performance and development, including organizing additional training.

About the Team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team keeps our equipment performing at its best. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site to repairing key distribution equipment, our team handles most aspects of Amazon's technical side. We often work during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), IEng, CEng or ILM L4+
  2. Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment that handles a variety of complex business processes
  3. Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team
  4. Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between a variety of stakeholders including third-party vendors
  5. Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper intermediate proficiency in local language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. A degree
  2. Experience of working with statutory regulations such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols
  3. Experience in automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems
  4. Experience of using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems
  5. Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes
  6. Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
