About the Role

The Michael Page Finance team is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our client's commercial finance function. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing insightful financial planning and analysis to support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Produce variance analysis against forecasts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain financial models, including budgeting and forecasting tools, to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, implementing changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in special projects as required by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting certification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with experience in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience in creating financial models and reports.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
