About the Role

The Michael Page Finance team is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to join our client's commercial finance function. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounting & Finance department by providing insightful financial planning and analysis that will aid in key decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Produce variance analysis against forecasts, identifying areas of improvement and opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and strategic decision making.
  • Evaluate and rank profitability, producing performance reports that inform business strategy.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and guidance, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in special projects as required by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting certification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with experience in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to create complex financial models and reports.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
