Museum Gardening Opportunities

We are seeking volunteers to join our gardening team at the Judges' Lodgings Museum in Lancaster. This role offers a chance to contribute to maintaining the museum's grounds and helping visitors enjoy a beautiful environment.

As a Gardening Team Member, you will be part of a team responsible for wider grounds maintenance, including litter picking around the museum and main visitor routes. No prior experience is necessary, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are required.

Training will be provided where necessary, including peer support, distance learning, or trainer-led sessions. Volunteers must complete required training before undertaking activities and may be asked to refresh training as needed.

The salary for this role is £8-10 per hour, depending on location and experience. If you are interested in working outdoors, meeting new people, and contributing to bringing sites to life for diverse audiences, we encourage you to apply.

  • Litter picking around the museum and main visitor routes.

Key Requirements:

  • No prior experience or qualifications are necessary; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are required.
  • Complete minimum level training and commit to further relevant training.
