Seamless Power Generation at Rotherham Biomass Station

Astute's Power Team supports the growth of a large biomass power station in Rotherham, supplementing the workforce with an additional Operations Technician per shift. This 24/7 operation requires flexible working patterns.

If you have relevant experience and are interested in a rewarding role in the Power sector, please consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet operational demands, monitor plant emissions, and report issues to the Shift Manager.
  • Conduct front-line maintenance, inspections, fault finding, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Level 3 engineering qualification (C&G, ONC, NVQ, SVQ) or higher.
  • Ideal qualifications: IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety certifications.
  • Competence in SCADA / PLC / DCS systems.
  • Practical knowledge of process plant and equipment from industries like Energy from Waste, Biomass, Coal, CCGT, Nuclear, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas, with Steam Raising plant experience preferred.
  • Marine Engineers from Merchant Fleet or Royal Navy also considered.
