About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Assistant to support our Revenue Controllers in managing the WIP management cycle and maintaining the flow of accurate billings in line with agreed targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and contribute to the general billing and IP folder for both our UK and SV offices.
  • Work closely with Partners and collaborate with other functions within the accounts team.
  • Apply expertise in all aspects of WIP billing within a European law firm.
  • Ensure all bills are raised in accordance with agreed billing instructions or client requirements.
  • Coordinate write-offs, time and disbursement transfers, time divisions, revaluations, and file closures.
Requirements
  • Develop strong working relationships with the billing team and learn all billing aspects relating to different types of billing/e-billing across the firm.
  • Have a strong understanding of billing procedures in a professional services firm and detailed knowledge of alternative billing arrangements, SAR, and VAT issues impacting on billing.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with individual Partners, Fee Earners, and PAs in a professional and personable manner.
  • Provide value and quality in all preparation, drafting, and finalization of invoices issued.
  • Have strong numeracy and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Have good experience of using Microsoft applications and different billing platforms.
