MLK Education Search is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a newly established independent school in Harmondsworth, West Drayton. The school caters to children aged 5-11 with severe learning difficulties and Autism.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and deliver engaging and enjoyable sessions to enhance learner engagement.
- Create and implement Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) for each student.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents.
- Track and document student progress and attendance.
- Support learners in developing self-regulation skills as needed.
- Manage a specific pathway, providing direct line management for the associated classes.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to review and enhance the Quality of Education within the pathway.
- Oversee pastoral care and positive behavior strategies to boost engagement and learning within the pathway.
- Demonstrated experience teaching SEN children, especially those with severe learning difficulties and autism.
- Familiarity with the EQUALS curriculum is advantageous.
- Experience with non-linear developmental assessment frameworks (e.g., Routes for Learning, SCERTS) is beneficial.
- A strong passion for working with SEN children.
- Capability to manage Teachers and Teaching Assistants.
