Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced PCV Maintenance Technician to join our client, Shorterm Group, on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance and repair of buses or heavy goods vehicles, including body, electrical, and mechanical aspects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide prompt and diligent service to diagnose problems and complete repairs at customers' sites while maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Schedule and reactive repairs and maintenance, ensuring all associated paperwork is completed upon completion of repairs/maintenance on vehicles.
  • Work on various vehicle drivelines, including battery electric, hydrogen fuel cell, diesel, and diesel hybrid.
Requirements:
  1. A recognised qualification in PCV/LGV/HGV Technicians or equivalent experience is essential.
  2. Experience working on modern vehicles with electrical diagnostic skills using Multiplex systems is highly desirable.
  3. The ability to work independently with good planning skills and maintain a professional manner at all times is crucial.
  4. Flexible to perform overtime (paid for) as required.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft packages and a full UK driving license are also essential.
