Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our small engineering team at a well-established and growing company.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out multi-skilled maintenance tasks, with a focus on electrical bias. This will include performing full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs, process optimisation, and implementing equipment reliability improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/reactive basis.
  • Process optimisation to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Implement equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance workflow methods and techniques.
  • Manage own workflow to remain within maintenance budget.
  • Ensure availability of critical spares.
  • Oversee projects when required.
Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of EHS and a safety culture.
  • Post apprenticeship experience.
  • Electro-Mechanical fault finding/repairs to PLC controlled plant. Includes pneumatic and hydraulics.
  • Carrying out Preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, able to provide detailed shift reports.
  • A high drive and energy level, can-do attitude, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Be flexible, adjust shifts to cover another engineer's holiday.
  • Prepared to participate in training and development.
  • Ensure all planned and routine maintenance are carried out and documented on the CMMS.
  • Technical school higher qualification (NVQ) or bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge with relevant hands on experience.
  • Electrical qualification.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and fault-finding skills.
  • Proven continuous improvement skills.
