About the Role
AESC UK is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our EHS Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with relevant laws and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Develop and deliver training programs to employees on EHS procedures and best practices.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with external health and safety consultants to provide specialized training and services.
- Manage and maintain EHS records, including training records, incident reports, and safety inspections.
Requirements
- 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline, such as occupational health and safety or environmental science.
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a COMAH industry.
- Proven track record in EHS, with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
