Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Programme Advisory team as a Principal Consultant - Controls & Performance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project controls and major project management, with experience in delivering business transformation and controls & performance advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of PMO and controls & performance strategies.
  • Deliver workshops in a mix of virtual and face-to-face environments with client representatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the Programme Advisory team.
  • Drive key activities within the team, including the internal development of transformation products and approaches.

Requirements

  1. Experienced professional with 3-5 years' experience in project controls, with a relevant industry background and a Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience working on major capital projects/programmes covering one or more roles within the PMO/controls & performance environment, in the infrastructure sector (Defense, Nuclear, Rail, Airport, Highways, Utilities) or similar.
  3. Familiarity with capability/maturity assessments across the capital delivery businesses, PMO, controls & performance, or a specific function.
  4. Familiarity with supporting the development of controls & performance integrated processes and digital solutions used to create a 'one version of the truth' and enable client leadership teams to make informed decision-making based on actionable intelligence.
  5. Experience with writing/presenting reports and ability to navigate through complex stakeholder environments and engage with C-suite level, executive client teams.
  6. Computer literacy in Office 365 applications, diagramming tools such as Visio, online whiteboarding tools such as Miro, team collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or specialist controls & performance software tools such as Oracle Primavera, PRISM, Power BI, or similar.
  7. Experience of business transformation programmes and change management would be advantageous.
  8. Understanding of strategy and set-up of target operating models and organizational design in the context of capital infrastructure delivery businesses, integrated controls & performance functions, or PMO set-ups would be advantageous.
  9. Ability to work with others, both internally and externally, to achieve project and/or business goals.
  10. Able to use an appropriate mix of analysis, intuition, and judgment to determine the most appropriate solution.
