Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Commercial Building Surveyor to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality commercial building surveying services to our clients.

Your primary focus will be on establishing strong relationships with clients, administering contracts, and providing accurate project cost monitoring and forecasting. You will also be responsible for proactively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Establish friendly, professional, and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in projects and programmes.
  2. Administer a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
  3. Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  4. Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
  5. Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
  6. Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
  7. Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  8. Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
Requirements

Previous experience or a sound understanding of the following will be advantageous:

  1. Contract Management (NEC3, Option C preferred)
  2. Cost Management
  3. Change management and control
  4. Valuation
  5. Procurement
  6. Reporting
  7. Collaborative approach and best-for-project attitude
  8. Commission management
  9. Identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements through the project life cycle
  10. Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters
