We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Project Manager to coordinate site installation projects across the UK. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with our in-house team, including the fabrication workshop manager, design team, purchasing department, health and safety manager, and operations team, as well as liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure successful project delivery.
This challenging role is ideal for someone who possesses excellent communication skills and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Organise, plan, and manage site projects to meet schedule and budget targets.
- Coordinate site activities with commissioning, technical, and site staff.
- Maintain effective communication with site engineers and suppliers, ensuring all stakeholders are informed about project progress and issues.
- Liaise with the fabrication workshop manager to ensure smooth operations.
- Source and manage all site-based deliveries, shipments, and hire equipment.
- Conduct pre-installation and post-installation checks to identify potential issues and solutions.
- Prepare detailed installation reports for all on-site activities and recommend actions.
- Ensure compliance with all site rules and health and safety standards.
- Solid background in managing/supervising steel fabrication and machinery installation projects.
- Ideally from a steel fabrication background, with experience in CDM projects.
- Experience in the construction materials industry is preferred, but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with project stakeholders and direct teams.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Good report writing skills.
Flexibility to travel to customer sites and work away from home during installations is essential. Regular attendance at the head office for project review meetings will also be required.
