About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Regional Mental Health Team as a Mental Health Programme Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the continued development of our Mental Health programme of work, driving transformation and quality improvement across the six systems in East.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead mental health transformation and quality improvement across the East of England, working closely with the MH Senior Team, clinical leads, ICB leads, regional and national teams, commissioners and providers.
  • Develop and implement effective networks and change management strategies to drive organisational change and improve service delivery.
  • Provide professional expertise to the outcome of business processes for East of England Mental Health Team, defining current processes, facilitating discussions and advising colleagues on best practice.
  • Work with the Regional Mental Health Team to ensure regional activities support commissioners with their core purpose of delivering national mental health strategy, quality improvement and ultimately benefit patient and population health outcomes.
Requirements
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent.
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development, with highly developed communication skills and the capability to analyse, review and make sense of highly complex, sensitive or contentious information.
  • Ability to work without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organisation, working to tight and often changing timescales.
  • Experience of delivering against competing priorities and deadlines while also directing the work of teams/individuals.
What We Offer

This is a permanent position being offered on a hybrid contract with some days home based working and some days at the NHSE East Region office base in Fulbourn, Cambridge. There is occasional need for travel across the Region and nationally.
