Job Overview

The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 7 Clinical Lead to join our multidisciplinary Ophthalmology Medical Retina team. This exciting opportunity will see you work closely with patients, relatives, nursing, and medical teams to ensure smooth management of patient care while delivering high-quality evidence-based care.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior nurse to take on a leadership role within our Eye Unit at King Edward VII Hospital (Windsor). As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for utilising your skills and knowledge as an Independent Non-medical prescriber to prescribe when clinically indicated within your competency and Trust protocols.

You will work closely with the ophthalmic teams / medical along with multidisciplinary teams within the Trust to ensure effective management of patient care. This will involve undertaking assessments within virtual clinics for the AMD service, providing professional advice, training, and support to a wide variety of contacts including patients, relatives, nursing, and medical staff.

As a member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary, ranging from £46,453 to £62,069 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
