About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Salvation Army Homes. As a Housing Management Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive housing services, support, and resettlement to residents. Your key responsibilities will include delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that units are maintained, and maintaining effective liaison with the local management team regarding health and safety, allocations, arrears control, repairs, and void turnaround.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A confident and capable communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, enabling you to form trusting relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Able to help people develop their skills, strengths, and talents, promoting personal growth and empowerment.
  • Good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, supporting vulnerable individuals or groups.
  • Familiarity with community resources and organisations, and ability to navigate complex situations.
