SEMH Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at TeacherActive. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in schools across Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils out of the classroom with pastoral and personal development
  • Manage behaviour of pupils sent out of class, freeing up other TAs
  • Patrol school working with pupils not in class, for whatever reason
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with teenagers
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Team player attitude with a positive and flexible approach to work
  • Experience within an SEMH school or setting
