Head of Finance and Administration

FRS Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance and Administration to join their executive team. As a key member of the leadership team, this individual will partner with the CEO to provide expert financial management and strategic input in the firm's ongoing expansion plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risk to the business.
  • Strategy: Advise the Board, provide and analyze information, participate in key decisions, and prepare business cases.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage and statutory accounts, KPIs, ad hoc, and specific project reports, presentation to the Board, and data analysis to assist with decision-making.
  • Management: Lead the accounts team, including recruitment and training, and implement computer software.
  • Financial Control: Budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, purchasing control, credit control, and financing.
  • Compliance: COFA, Solicitors Accounts rules, dealing with Auditors, Bankers, VAT, and insurance.

The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and have previous law firm experience, ideally as the No 1/No 2 in Finance. Those with suitable experience gained operating in a similar position (Finance Director/Head of Finance/Financial Controller) that are QBE or Part Qualified will also be considered.

This role requires strong IT and analytical skills, as the individual will play a key role in evolving the company's MI/KPIs/Dashboards to monitor performance.
