We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our commercial Property team at a Top 100 Law firm. The role offers fantastic variety and the opportunity to work on commercial property transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer files, including opening, closing, archiving, and retrieval, to ensure efficient response to legal queries.
- Accurately record information in the practice management system provided by team members.
- Prepare pre-completion bundles for client completion and handle pre and post-completion documentation, paperwork, and registrations.
- Draft letters, documents, and forms, and print contracts and letters related to property sales or purchases.
- Digitize signed contracts and other documents, manage daily diaries for team members, and input key dates and diarise important actions.
- Arrange appointments, meetings, and room bookings for clients and colleagues, and serve as a point of contact to answer queries on behalf of clients.
- Prepare correspondence, documents, and enclosures for despatch using digital dictation and the practice management system, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Assist clients with updates/progress on their cases, produce and email client invoices, and assist Fee Earners in the billing and credit control process.
- Good legal secretarial experience, with consideration given to candidates without property experience.
- Accurate typing speed of at least 60 words per minute.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, research tools, and other systems such as case management.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, documentation, legal processes, and excellent communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
