Medical Care Team Member

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Brannam Medical Centre in the Barnstaple area. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the Nursing Team in various aspects of their work.
Duties and Responsibilities- Carry out phlebotomy duties, including collecting blood samples from patients and ensuring they are processed efficiently.
- Set up and operate the ECG machine to take electrocardiograms, which will then be analyzed by a GP.
- Prepare examination areas and instruments for minor operations, coil fittings, and other clinics.
- Provide health advice to patients on minor ailments, health promotion, and illness prevention.
- Support the nursing team in various aspects of patient care.
We require an individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and proficiency in IT systems. A Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary for this position.
