Maternity and Neonatal Lead

The Maternity and Neonatal Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality maternity and neonatal services across Hertfordshire and West Essex. This position will act as a conduit between service users, staff, and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to drive positive change.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve maternity and neonatal services, ensuring they are safe, effective, and responsive to the needs of service users.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, commissioners, and local system partners to ensure the voices of families are heard and their needs are met.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of maternity and neonatal services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance quality and safety.
- Recruit and induct volunteer service users, providing them with the necessary training and support to contribute to the development of maternity and neonatal services.
- Attend and chair formal meetings, ensuring all stakeholders have the opportunity to contribute and participate in decision-making processes.
- Stay up-to-date with national reports, guidance, and policy, ensuring local maternity and neonatal services align with and deliver required outcomes.
